Bureau of Customs District Collector Atty. Ricardo Uy Morales II, CESE, warmly welcomed diplomats from the Consulate General of Japan in Cebu on March 01, 2024.
The delegation was led by Consul General Mr. Hideaki Matsuo and included Consuls Mr. Masamichi Wanibe, Mr. Toshio Yadomi, and Executive Secretary to the Consul General, Ms. Jeanette SalvaΓ±a.
The meeting, held at the Port of Cebu, aimed to strengthen the already robust relations between Japan and Cebu, focusing on customs, trade, and cultural exchanges.
Discussions during the visit covered a wide range of topics including mutual interests in enhancing trade facilitation, bolstering security measures, and exploring opportunities for capacity building and technical cooperation in customs operations.
Additionally, the visit highlighted the importance of strengthening ties and continuous dialogue to address mutual concerns beneficial to both countriesβ economic growth and development.
District Collector Morales extended a warm welcome to the Japanese delegation, expressing his heartfelt gratitude for the visit.
