In line with the directive of Bureau of Customs (BOC) Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno to expedite the processing and release of backlog cargoes, key officials of the Bureau of Customs and partner stakeholders convened for a coordination meeting at the Paircargo Assessment Composite Office (PAIRCARGO) in Parañaque City.

The meeting was presided over by Assistant Commissioner Atty. Vincent Philip C. “Jet” Maronilla and NAIA District Collector Atty. Maria Yasmin M. Obillos-Mapa, with the participation of Port Operations Director Melon Santiago, AOCD Chief Atty. Julito Doria, AOCG Deputy Commissioner Uvero’s Chief of Staff Atty. Rod H. Pino, CBWD Chief Atty. Wally Ann Yumol, Special Deputy Collector Dr. Siegfred L. Manaois, Assistant Special Deputy Collector Ms. Irene Moreno-Concio, and Paircargo Warehouse Operations Manager Mr. Chris Avila.

The coordination meeting focused on the systematic rollout and close monitoring of the final phase of the strategic measures being implemented by Customs-NAIA under the leadership of District Collector Obillos-Mapa. These initiatives aim to resolve the remaining backlog cargoes and restore the efficient flow of cargo within the NAIA Customs zone. (BONG SON)
