The National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC) has once again earned an Unmodified Opinion from the Commission on Audit (COA) for its financial statements for the fiscal years ended December 31, 2025 and 2024, reaffirming the Corporation’s adherence to the highest standards of financial reporting, internal controls, and sound financial management.

An Unmodified Opinion – the highest audit opinion issued by COA – signifies that NHMFC’s financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the Corporation’s financial position and financial performance in accordance with applicable financial reporting framework.

NHMFC President Renato L. Tobias said the consecutive Unmodified Opinion reflects NHMFC’s continuing transformation into a modern, high-performing housing finance institution driven by good governance, digital transformation, operational excellence, and strengthened partnerships both in the Philippines and across the region.

“Receiving another Unmodified Opinion from COA is more than an institutional achievement – it is a reflection of our commitment to demonstrating that good governance and public service go hand in hand.  This is an affirmation that the reforms we have undertaken continue to strengthen NHMFC as a trusted and accountable government financial institution,”  President Tobias remarked.

The audit result reinforces NHMFC’s continuing support for the good governance agenda of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr, which emphasizes transparency, accountability, and  excellence in public service. It likewise aligns with the strategic direction of Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Ramon P. Aliling to strengthen institutions and improve the delivery of housing programs under the government’s  Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (Expanded 4PH) through operational efficiency and the prudent stewardship of public resources.

President Tobias also commended the entire NHMFC workforce for this achievement, with special recognition to the General Accounting Division led by Chief of Division Abigail Lomogbad, for their diligence and commitment to financial transparency and responsible resource management.

Moving forward, the NHMFC remains committed to strengthening institutional governance while expanding sustainable housing finance programs for more Filipino families.
