Lola Amour, Shirebound, and Over October headline the first edition of Alt.chestra: the concert
MANILA, Philippines — Three of the country’s most celebrated alternative acts—Lola Amour, Over October, and Shirebound—are set to headline the inaugural edition of Alt.chestra, a new concert series that transforms fan-favorite songs through lush orchestral arrangements.
Scheduled on August 8, 2026, at the Music Museum, Alt.chestra Vol. 1 introduces an intimate live music experience that seamlessly blends contemporary band performances with the richness and emotional depth of a full orchestra. The production will be led by acclaimed musical director Ronald Tomas, whose orchestral arrangements promise to offer audiences a fresh perspective on the artists’ signature sound.
The event is presented by GNN, the team behind acclaimed sold-out concert productions such as DAMA, featuring Johnoy Danao, Ebe Dancel, and Bullet Dumas, and Secrets, which brought together Aia de Leon, Barbie Almalbis, and Kitchie Nadal.
In addition to their individual sets, Lola Amour, Over October, and Shirebound will come together for a special collaborative performance—an exclusive musical moment created specifically for Alt.chestra Vol. 1 and expected to be one of the concert’s biggest highlights.
Over the years, the three bands have cultivated loyal fan communities through memorable live performances while successfully balancing independent artistry with mainstream appeal. Collectively, they represent a new generation of Filipino musicians whose music continues to resonate across audiences and digital platforms.
Together, Lola Amour, Over October, and Shirebound have amassed more than one billion Spotify streams, earned critical acclaim, received multiple industry awards, and headlined some of the country’s biggest music festivals, cementing their status among the most influential acts in the Philippine alternative music scene.
With its unique orchestral concept and powerhouse lineup, Alt.chestra Vol. 1 promises an unforgettable evening that celebrates the evolving sound of Original Pilipino Music (OPM) while showcasing these beloved artists in an entirely new musical setting.
