Over 450 families gain land ownership through SHFC’s Enhanced Community Mortgage Program
More than 450 families across Bacolod City, Zamboanga City, and Cordon, Isabela have secured land ownership following the Social Housing Finance Corporation’s (SHFC) release of funds for lot acquisition under the Enhanced Community Mortgage Program (ECMP).
In Bacolod City, the LK Yuman Phases I and II Homeowners’ Association, Inc. (HOAI) in Barangay Cabug received over PHP 19 million, benefiting more than 200 families.
Meanwhile, Maria Navarro HOAI in Barangay Recodo, Zamboanga City was awarded more than PHP 16 million to support its 115 member-beneficiaries.
In Cordon, Isabela, the Amianan CMP HOAI, comprising more than 130 families, received over PHP 20 million for land acquisition.
These initiatives form part of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.’s Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program, spearheaded by the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development led by Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling.
“This proves that our programs are reaching communities across the country. We remain committed to ensuring that more Filipinos gain access to government housing initiatives such as the ECMP,” said SHFC President and CEO Federico Laxa.
Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to SHFC for helping them turn their long-standing dream of land ownership closer to reality. Residents shared that the ECMP has provided them with a renewed sense of security and hope, knowing that they now have a chance to have a place they can call their own after years of uncertainty.
This milestone underscores SHFC’s continued commitment to empowering communities by providing not just housing, but long-term security, stability, and opportunities for Filipino families.
Since its launch in July last year, SHFC has approved 45 ECMP projects, benefiting more than 7,700 families across the country.
