Psoriasis Philippines Marks 20 Years with World Psoriasis Day 2025 Celebration
Manila, Philippines – Psoriasis Philippines (PsorPhil), the leading patient organization advocating for people living with psoriatic disease, is celebrating its 20th anniversary with the country’s largest observance of World Psoriasis Day this year. The event will take place on Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM in Manila, with venue details to be announced on PsorPhil’s official social media channels.
This year’s global theme, “Psoriatic Disease and Comorbidities: The Domino Effect,” highlights the serious health risks linked to psoriatic disease, including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, psoriatic arthritis, and mental health challenges.
Psoriatic disease is a chronic, systemic autoimmune condition that affects an estimated 2 million Filipinos. Its impact extends beyond patients, touching families and loved ones who share in the daily struggles brought by visible symptoms, stigma, and emotional toll.
The celebration will feature:
• A symbolic fun walk along Roxas Boulevard
• An educational program with expert speakers and patient stories
• Interactive activities that bring together patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers
“World Psoriasis Day 2025 is not just a milestone for PsorPhil. It is a call to action to recognize psoriatic disease as a serious health condition and to stand in solidarity with millions of Filipino patients and their families,” said Ms. Liza Dela Cruz, Chair of the Philippine World Psoriasis Day Steering Committee.
