TRIA LAUDED BY CHED AS UDM RANKS 5TH TOP PERFORMING SCHOOL IN SOCIAL WORKERS LICENSURE EXAM
The Universidad De Manila (UDM) under the leadership of its President, Dr. Felma Carlos-Tria, once again marked its stamp of excellence when it was declared recently as one of the top performing schools in the Licensure Examination for Registered Social Workers last September 2025.
Tria proudly announced that the UDM secured an outstanding passing percentage of 97.26%, strikingly higher than the national passing rate of 76.06%. Too, a total of 71 out of 73 takers and a notable 100% for first takers passed the licensure exam.
On September 16, 2025, the Commission on Higher Education – National Capital Region (CHED-NCR) formally acknowledged this outstanding achievement by praising Tria for the exceptional work of the university.
Tria said the accomplishment demonstrates UDM’s superior social work education and commitment to developing the next generation of leaders in service and nation-building.
“In addition to congratulating its new Registered Social Workers on their admirable journey to serve communities across the nation, the university proudly celebrates this milestone and honors the dedication of its faculty, staff and students, Tria added.
In a congratulatory letter penned by Atty. Marco Cicero Domingo, officer-in-charge of the office of the Director IV of CHED-NCR, it lauded Tria saying, “this outstanding achievement is a reflection of your institution’s commitment to academic excellence, quality instruction and the holistic development of your students.”
The CHED-NCR also praised the dedication of Tria to “upholding the highest standards of education greatly contributes to the professional and personal success of your graduates and strengthens the country’s workforce.”
“We commend your administrators, faculty and students for this remarkable accomplishment and express our heartfelt gratitude for your continued efforts in advancing the higher education sector. Again, congratulations and may you continue to inspire excellence among future generations of Filipino professionals,” the letter stated further. (MARISA SON)
